Joseph Lee Jackson was the night town marshal for Prentiss Mississippi in the 1960's. He also was a farmer. Loving husband to Mary Ann Smith. And beloved father of eight children.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 10:00 from Saulters Funeral Home Chapel for Lee Jackson, 85, who died Thursday afternoon at the Jefferson Davis County Hospital. Rev. L. C. Anthony and Rev. Ronnie Veach officiated and interment followed in the Bethel Methodist Cemetery with Saulters Funeral Home in charge. Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Mr. Jackson was a longtime resident of Jefferson Davis County. He had farmed and at one time was employed as a night watchman in Prentiss. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church.
