Mrs. English was a member of First Baptist Church of Hawkinsville, Georgia and a member of the Eastern Star. Throughout the years she worked at Mr. Sam's Pecan Plant, Goody's and retired for the third time at the age of 88 from the ME Roden Memorial Library. Mrs. English was an avid fan of Pro Wrestling and Braves baseball.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Alana McLean Wooten and Hallie Wooten; husband, Ben English, Jr.; two sons, Harry David English and a baby boy: daughter-in-law, Lorene English; two sisters, Orrie Jones and Allie O'Mara; brother, Woodrow Eugene Wooten and a grandson.
Survivors include one daughter, Bernice V. "Jenny" (Pete) Hardin; one son, Robert L. "Bobby" English; one sister, Melva Carrefiello; a dear cousin and true friend, Lois Brown; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
