Lucille Kathryn Gramlich Barr, 94, passed into eternal life at Little Sisters of the Poor-Jeanne Jugan Center in Kansas City MO on Aug. 5, 2013. Born December 4, 1918, in Clear Creek MO, she was the daughter of the late Andrew F. Gramlich and Josephine Gross Gramlich.

Mrs. Barr attended Central Missouri State Teachers College in Warrensburg. On April 7, 1942, in Clear Creek MO, she married Lawrence J. Barr; he preceded her in death on April 10, 1992. They lived on their farm in Shackelford and were married for 50 years. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. Later in life, she moved to Kansas City where she made her home at the Little Sisters of the Poor Jeanne-Jugan Center. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Lucille is survived by he daughters Nancy Barr of Kansas City, Marilyn Rowland and husband Robert Rowland of Kansas City, and Joyce Nelson and husband David Nelson of Marshall MO; son Milton Barr and wife Cherie Vesser Barr of Jefferson City MO; sister-in-law Regina Barr Witcher of Marshall; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lucille was preceded in death by her son Delbert Barr; granddaughter Renee Rowland, two brothers, and three sisters.
