CHRISTENSEN RITES HELD-- Pilot Tribune 25 May 1950

Kresten Torville Christensen better known as K.T. died Saturday. Seventy-six years old and for many years a resident of the Blair vicinity, he had been living on route 2, Florence for several years.

He and Mrs. Christensen had celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

Mr. Christensen was the head of a four generation family numbering 71 persons.

Surviving him are his wife, Kristina Marie Christensen; seven daughters, Mrs. Ralph Wilson of Los Angeles, Mrs. O.W. Sanders of Kansas City, Mrs. W. D. Swanson, Mrs. Frank Simet, Mrs. C.M. Golehon, Mrs. Norbert Thirtle and Mrs. Donald Lake, all of Omaha; six sons, J. Pete. Chris T., Fred V., Oscar T., Marshall H., Merrill R. Christensen, All of Omaha.

There are 36 surviving grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Also Surviving are three brothers, Peter Blicker, J. Chris Christensen and Dr. Fred V. Christensen.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Kremer Funeral Home, Benson. Interment followed in Springwell Cemetery.

Kresten Torvald "KT" Christensen, son of Peder and Ane Margrethe Pedersen-Kristensen, was born May 20, 1873 in Holstebro, Ringkobing, Denmark. KT immigrated to the USA in 1873. He married Kristina Marie Christensen December 30,1899 in Orum, Nebraska.
