FOLEY - Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Duelm, for Robert A. Balder, 91, Rt. 2, who died Monday at the St. Cloud Hospital. The Rev. Robert Harren will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foley Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Balder was born June 6, 1885, in St. George Township, Benton County, to the late Joseph and Johanna Balder. He married Elizabeth Halfman Oct. 23, 1918, in Duelm. He owned and operated the Duelm Garage for more than 50 years.
Survivors include son and daughter Norbert and Mrs. Robert (Elsie) Kirchoff, Foley; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Oct. 18, 1971, one daughter, three sisters and five brothers.
Pallbearers will be Robert Kirchoff Jr., Douglas and James Kirchoff, Richard Balder, Alphonse Halfman and Jack Dierkes.
