Josephine Balder, age 88 of St. Cloud, died Thursday December 25, 2003 at the Talahi Care Center, St. Cloud.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2003 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Duelm. The Rev. Bernard Kahlhamer will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home.

Josephine Balder was born February 14, 1915 in Gladstone, Minnesota to Michael and Mary (Kaczmarek) Wybierala. She married Anton Balder, May 23, 1936, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Duelm. She had lived and farmed near Foley for 32 years. She did volunteer work for R.S.V.P. and the St. Cloud Hospital. Josephine moved to St. Cloud in 1980.

She is survived by her sons and daughters; Tony, Minot, ND; Dan (Joan), Dayton; Michael (Zita), St. Joseph; Marge (Bernie) McCole, Chicago, IL; Joanne Boyd, Rochester; Annette Lightfritz, Hopkins; 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anton; granddaughter, Susan Boyd and 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
