Bettie was born to Gertie Taylor and William Rufus Stephens. She was married to L.P. Davis on December 31, 1925. She had one daughter, Marjoria Jo Davis Nichols. She had 2 grandchildren, Barbara Yvonne and Bobby Darwin, and 1 adopted grandson, Allen. She had several great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her grandaughter, Barbara Yvonne Summers, and all but one of her siblings. She helped raise her great granddaughter, Sydonia Lynn and was very much a part in helping raise her great-great granduaghters, Lashelle Aynn and Janelle Faye.
She was an excellent seamstress and a custom taylorer for Neiman Marcus. She was well liked by all of her neighbors, and frequently watched over the neighborhood children. She was a strong Christian and a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. She loved to Crochet and Cook, and taught her grandchildren to as well. She was an awesome woman who is deeply missed everyday!
