Obituary

Tommy McCamey, 70, of Tuscola passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Highway 277 South, Abilene, Texas with Blake Burkett officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 27th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Tommy was born December 9, 1942 in Mexia, Texas to Hurley C. "Pete" and Billie MARTIN McCAMEY. He graduated with the Abilene High School Class of 1961. Tommy worked as a machinist most of his life. He worked at Hunter Texas Stone, Lockheed Martin, Eastman Whipstock, and Timex for several years. He was also a silversmith and knife maker and was retired at the time of his death.

Tommy was a lover of life. All things motorcycles, Nascar and FOX News. Tommy will be missed dearly by all that were a part of his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Pete McCamey.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years Kay McCamey; one daughter, Shanna Watts and husband, Rob; one son, Cade McCamey; his mother and step-father, Perry and Billie Williams; two grandchildren, Brayden and Brindin Watts; one sister, Billie Jo Stowe; one brother, Kerry McCamey and wife, Mary; and so many lifelong friends.
