Elizabeth Shannon was born on February 14, 1813 in Belmont County, Ohio to John Anderson Shannon (1788-1861...who served in the war of 1812) and Rachel Smith Shannon (1789-1877). She married William H. McConnell on January 27, 1843. To this union, there were four children: James H. McConnell, George McConnell, Thomas W McConnell (2 Jun 1845-9 Sep 1897)and Agnes Virginia McConnell Abels (1849-1928). It is also reported that her husband William died at the age of about 38 years old about 1848-1850.
She died in 1899 at the age of 86 in Little Rock Arkansas. Additional researach is needed to reveal burial/grave location.
