Mr. Andrew Carlton Edenfield, age 85, 319 Wesley Ave., Lyons, Ga., died May 11, 1995 in Meadows Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mr. Edenfield was a native of Emanuel County but had lived in Lyons since 1958. He was the son of the late Leonard and Sophronia Strange Edenfield. He was a retired telephone construction specialist and he was a member of Mt. Shady Baptist Church.

Mr. Edenfield is survived by one daughter, Louise Coe, Lyons and one son, A.C. Edenfield, Vidalia; he was the widower of Bertha Williamson Edenfield and is also survived by two sisters, Lillian Sikes, Atlanta and Christine Coleman, Lyons; six brothers, Homer, Alfred, Lloyd, Paul, Mandel and Leonard Edenfield, Jr., Lyons; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for the deceased were held in Murchison Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, May 12, 1995 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Del Bordeau officiating, assisted by the Rev. John P. Quattlebaum. Interment followed in Mount Shady Baptist Church Cemetery. Murchison Funeral Home, Vidalia, was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Active pallbearers were Jerry Williamson, Donald Williamson, J.W. Williamson, Jimmy Edenfield, Larry Edenfield and Danny Coleman.
