KATHLEEN M. BERES (GLICKMAN) Kathleen M. Beres (Glickman) passed away peacefully at home on January 22, 2006 surrounded by her family and friends. Kathy was a loving person who always had a kind word and a helping hand for everyone. An active woman, she loved the outdoors, particularly the beach and the mountains. Kathleen's elegance and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Garry Glickman, and her children, Jeff, his wife Eve, and Rachel, together with two grandchildren, Jordan and Kai. Also surviving are her mother, Mildred Malt, and siblings Bob (Julie), Dick (Cathy), Marilyn, Carol, Patricia, John (Gail), Michelle, and David (Lisa), her Goddaughter Kristin, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Born is Pittsburgh, PA, Kathleen's family settled in Ft. Myers, Florida in 1959. She attended Edison Community College and Florida State University. Kathleen, together with her sister, Patricia, developed an award-winning West Palm Beach interior design firm which flourished for over 20 years. She was a founding member of the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches, a volunteer of numerous charitable organizations, and an active congregant at St. Ignatius Loyola Cathedral. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 13591 Prosperity Farms Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410, with Reverend Brian Flanigan celebrant. Interment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kathleen's memory to the Memory Disorder Clinic at Shands Hospital, University of Florida, P.O.
