Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Francisco and Maria (Lewis) Medeiros, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. King was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church.
She was formerly employed by several local textile mills for many years until her retirement.
Mrs. King enjoyed knitting, sewing and cooking.
Survivors include a son, James King, Jr. and his wife Susan of North Carolina; a brother, George Medeiros of New Bedford; a sister, Dorothy Botelho of New Bedford; 2 granddaughters and a great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late William Medeiros, Manuel Medeiros, Clotilde Mandeville and Mabel Wood.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 23rd at 10 AM in St. Julie Billiart Church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
