Mabel Louise Corenflos, 79, of Terre Haute died Sunday, July 24, 2005, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was a retired administrative assistant of academic affairs for Indiana State University. She was born Nov. 18, 1925, in Hunt City, Ill., to Leroy Orville Hunt and Blanche J. O'Dell Hunt. Survivors include one son, James Corenflos of Houston; two daughters, Susan Corenflos and her husband, Charles Greenwell of Terre Haute and Linda Burkett and her husband, Bob of Clinton; five grandchildren, Tom Burkett, Charlie Burkett, Jacqueline Burkett, Suzanne Burkett and Jamie Burkett; three nieces; and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Raymond Roger Corenflos; her former husband, Raymond Corenflos; three sisters, Betty Lester, Jewell Hunt and Genelle Downey; and one brother-in-law, Daniel Downey. She was a member of the YWCA. Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th St., with graveside services at 1:30 p.m. in Yale (Ill.) Cemetery.
