KINSLEY — George Willard Heacock, 63, died Monday morning [18 Mar] in the Edwards County Hospital here after a brief illness. Born July 13, 1904 in Hartford, [Lyon Co.], he married Florence Robbins July 13, 1931 at Hutchinson. A farmer, he had moved to Kinsley in 1928. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by the widow; sons: LaVerne and Gary, both of Lewis; daughters: Mrs. Erma Mallett, Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Roberta Dorste, Spearville; brothers: Emery [Emory], Louisville, Ky., Samuel and Clarence both of Denver, Colo.; sisters: Ethel Heacock and Mrs. Laura Burns, both of Denver; 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday [20 Mar] at the McKillip Memorial Chapel, Kinsley with burial in the Kinsley Cemetery."
