JUNIOR FUGATE FOUND HANGED LAST THURSDAY.

James Frank Fugate Jr., 30, West Liberty, Route 1, died about 3:15 p.m. Thursday, June 9. Coroner L. H. Owens ruled the death of a suicide, and said that Fugate died of strangulation.
Fugate's body was found hanging by a rope from a tree about 50 yards from his home. He was a native of Morgan County.
His wife found him shortly after he left their trailer home, according to a spokesman, and climbed a pine tree to cut the body loose. She called to John Nipper, uncle of Fugate and they tried to revive him.
He had been employed as a truck driver and had been despondent, it was said.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Johnna Faye Fugate, his mother, Mrs. Bertie Fugate, Xenia, Ohio, four sisters, Mrs. Arlene Thompson, Springfield, O., Mrs. Mildred Shaw, South Charleston, O., Patty Leamings, Spring Valley, O., Mrs. Bonnie Venable, Xenia, Ohio, four brothers, Clyde Fugate, West Liberty Route 1; Boyd Fugate, South Charleston, Ohio; Russell and Phillip Fugate, both of Xenia.
Services conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Potter Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Ottis Sanders. Buried in Oakley cemetery.
