Myron Schmidt was one of 11 children born to Charles Peter William Schmidt and his wife Clara Katherine Krier Schmidt.

Those children, in birth order, were: Clara, Anna, Carl, Olive, Melvin, Lester, Oscar, Nicholas, Ralph, Myron, and Clarice.

Myron served with the U.S. Army in Japan for two years in the late 1940s.

He married Catherine Eleanor Parker on April 30, 1949, in Adell, Wisconsin. They did not have any children. Myron and his brother Ralph married sisters, Catherine and Joan Parker.

Myron lived in Belgium, Wisconsin for most of his life. He worked for many years at Johnson Brass and Machine in Saukville, Wisconsin.

He was a member of the American Legion for decades in Belgium.

Myron was one of the nicest, most down-to-earth men you could ever meet.
