Cynthia Mae 'Christine' Massie Leeson, age 81, died 11 May 1956 in Andrew County, Missouri of chronic myocarditis (diagnosed six years prior to her death) and senility. She was born on March 13, 1875 in Hillsboro, Highland, Ohio, and she was the daughter of William Spencer Massie and Sara Ann Tedrow Massie. She had six siblings: Hugh Mack Massie (1870-1948), Shrilda Ellen 'Ella' Massie (1872-1939) , Amanda Jane 'Mandy' Massie (1877-1953), Anna B. Massie (1881-1940), Evalena 'Eva' Massie (1884-?), Leona Edna Massie (1890-1966), and Mary Emma Massie Lowman Diehl (1891-?).

She married George William Leeson on November 24, 1893 in Council Grove, Morris County, Kansas. To this Union, they had 10 children: James William Leeson (1894-1971), Charles Leeson (1896-1925), Rada Mae Leeson (1897-1975), Zella Massie Leeson (1900-1903), Harry T. Leeson (1900-1939), George 'Archie' Leeson (1903-1977), Carl G. Leeson (1910-1990), Leroy 'Roy' D. Leeeson (1913-1980), Dorothy Leeson Coy (1916-2012), and Thomas Leeson (1921-2004).

At the time of her death, surviving children included: Jim of Chicago, Illinois; Mrs Reda Ables and Roy of Savannah, Missouri; Mrs. Dorothy Coy and Tommie of St. Joseph; and Archie of Billings, Montana. There were 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grand children and three great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Leeson's husband died in 1945, and she had lived with Roy for the past 10 years.

She was a homemaker and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Funeral services were held at the Brent Chapel on May 13, 1956. G. H. Lommis officiated, and Mrs. Celestie Whitechurch had charge of the music. Burial was in Savannah Cemetery, Missouri.
