Placer Argus, Auburn, 11-8-1883
Noah P. Andrews, a miner of Iowa Hill, met with a tragic end at that place on the 2d by falling over a bank opposite the Express Office. He had been on a big spree for some days and at the time of the accident is believed to have been under the influence of liquor. The bluff from which he fell was over 100 feet high, and the fall broke his neck. He was a native of Maine, aged 54 years, and unmarried.
