Linda Sue Acord, age 66, of Bolt, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Charleston Area Medical Center General Division.
Born August 20, 1946, in Davy, to Velma Barnes Douglas, of Charlotte, N.C., and the late Jesse Lewis Furrow.
Mrs. Acord was a homemaker and her joy in life was her family and her church. She was also a former employee of Southern Soil Conservation in Beckley.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by brothers, Jack and James Furrow, and Robert Douglas.
Along with her mother, those surviving include her husband of 49 years, Dallas "Bob" Acord of Bolt; son, Brian Scott Acord of Bolt; sisters, Judy Pennington and husband Bill of Cayce, S.C., and Ann Pierce and husband Robert of Beckley; grandchildren, Brandi and Kandace Acord; and great-grandchild, Brentley Wyatt Acord.
Interment will be at the Acord Family Cemetery in Bolt.
