Larry Joe Moore, 46, Greenfield, Missouri was born to Joseph R. and Marie (Bookout) Moore. He passed away in Freeman Hospital after a 22 month battle with brain cancer.

Larry was a graduate from Richland (MO) High School. He worked many years at General Electric then left there to start his own electrical contracting business in Richland. Several years later, he began working for Sechler Electric in Springfield.

Larry was always working on something and was known by many as the kind of person who could fix anything adn if he couldn't fix it, it couldn't be fixed.

One of Larry's greatest joys was his three children and watching his two youngest sons excel in martial arts. He also had a real love for computers and even built a computer after his first brain surgery.

Larry was loved and respected so much by his family, friends, co-workers and anyone who knew him. He touched the lives of so many. He will be deeply missed.

He expressed his last wish in life, which was to put his foot in the ocean at least once in his lifetime. This was accomplished when his family went to Jamaica last January for an international martial arts tournament.

Larry was married to Debra Dianne McConnell on July 11, 1986 and she survives. Also surviving are his three sons, Dustin Michael Crayton, Eric Andrew Crayton and Brandon Joe Moore, all of the home; his parents, Joe and Marie Moore, Richland; his sisters and husbands, Kathy and John Parrish, Richland, and Cindy and Gerry Frank, Waynesville, Missouri; his in-laws, Janice and Cletis McConnell, Greenfield; his grandmothers-in-law, Ruthie Aleshire and Dorothy McConnell, both of Greenfield, Missouri; his sister-in-law, Sandy and Dennis Edwards; his brother-in-law, Jackie D. McConnell, Greenfield; his brother-in-law and wife, Brad and Whitney McConnell, Rogers, Arkansas; his neices and nephews, Jamie Parrish, Kelli Parrish, Dariin Frank, Geremy Frank, Roxanne Cope, Dalton Edwards, Brittany McConnell, Mariah McConnell and four day old Nicholas McConnell; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including a dear friend that was like a brother to Larry, Bruce Lowry of Springfield, Missouri.

Larry was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Bertha Bookout and his paternal grandparents, Herschel and Floy Moore.

Two services were held. The first was on October 12, 1999 at the Greenfield Funeral Chapel, Greenfield, Missouri and the second was on October 13, 1999 at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, Richland, Missouri. Pastor Chuck Baker officated both services.
