Mary was my Great-Grandmother she is in an unmarked grave so I don't know the exact location of her grave.She had 5
daughters,Caroline D. Russell,Nannie Sybil Gaines,Georgie A. Gaines,Molley Beulah Gaines(my grandmother) and Lena M. Gaines.She died the day my mama (Betty A. McClure) was born.
Her parents were John H. and Nancy(Cooley) King.

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Gains died on February 17 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Flemings,Morgan Springs.She was born January 3, 1870,and left a beautiful testimonial. she is survived by four daughters,Sybil Mitchell,Caroline Pelfrey,Lena Goodwin and Beulah McClure;one sister,Mrs. Sallie Henderson of Pleasant Hill,and four brothers,John King of Ogden,Joe king of Dayton,Robert King of Montana,Charlie King of Arkansas.These unite in voicing thanks to friends for help and sympathy.At the time of her death,Mrs.Gains was making her home with her niece, Clara Fleming. She was laid to rest in Mt. View Cemetery.
