Stephen Decatur Hodlin was my great-great-grandfather, through his eldest child, Orville Douglas Hodlin. I'm not looking for a transfer, just passing along information. `Information that I've found shows that Stephen Decatur Hodlin & Susannah Kathryn "Katie" Phillips had 5 children, Orville (1874 - 1931), Willis (1878 - 1962), Lucy J. (1881 - 1882), Madge Emma (Mrs. Walter Ringey) (1884 - 1974), & Stephen Deane (1888 - 1929). Stephen Deane was a Methodist minister and is often referred to as S. D. Hodlin, Jr., although he has a different middle name than his father. Katie passed away on Feb. 15, 1890 in Ansonia, New Haven, Connecticut, although I haven't found burial information. Also, after Katie's death, Stephen Decatur remarried and continued having children. In 1913, Stephen Decatur & Ida had their last child, a son, Joseph Lewis Hodlin. Stephen Decatur passed away in 1925, and Ida E. (Lewis) Hodlin married Douglass Miller in Chatham, NY in February, 1926. Justice of the Peace John A. Klinglesmith officiated. Thanks, Barry L. Seitz
