Mrs. Lois Marshall Nelson, 93, of Winston-Salem, widow of Coy J. Nelson, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, at The Oaks at Forsyth. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Vogler's Reynolds Road Chapel by the Rev. Stuart Zimmerman. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park . She was born in Stokes County on Oct. 18, 1906, to Charles H. and Mary Sue Larimore Marshall. She was a member of Fries Memorial Moravian Church and was active in the church as long as her health permitted. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two children, C. James Nelson and Polly N. Vance. Mrs. Nelson is survived by a daughter, Phyllis, and a son-in-law, R.O. Parrish; daughter-in-law, Etta S. Nelson of Arlington, Va.; one sister-in-law, Ethel Nelson Moorefield of Walnut Cove; five grandchildren, Kay Vance (Mike) Elmore of Waxhaw, Melissa Nelson of Charlotte, Kathy Parrish (Roger) Horton of Winston-Salem, Monica Nelson of Arlington and Gene (Mitzi) Vance of Belews Creek; five great-grandchildren, Michael Elmore Jr., Shannon Daniels (Michael) McDonald, Mark Elmore, Brent (Jennifer) Daniels and Carrie Horton; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
