RUBY ALEXANDER KINGS MOUNTAIN — Ruby Moss Alexander, 74, died Sept. 29, 2000, at Presbyterian Hospital Hospice, Charlotte.

She was born in Cleveland County, NC to Theodore Moss.

She was the co-owner of Alexander Inc., a Realtor and developer. She retired from U.S. Postal Service.

Mrs. Moss was a member of First Baptist Church and active in youth ministry in the 1960s and 1970s. She served on the board of directors of N.C. Baptist Foundation, Regal Ventures, Cleveland County United Way, Kings Mountain/Grover Advisory Board for the Life Enrichment Center, Cleveland Home Health and First Union National Bank, Cleveland County Chamber of Commerce, Kings Mountain Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of Kings Mountain Board of Realtors, Cleveland County Home Builders Association, Kings Mountain Women's Club, former Gardner-Webb University trustee, Sam Walton Award for Community Service recipient, Athena Award for Outstanding Business Women, honorary co-chairwoman for Kings Mountain Relay for Life.
