Nellie Pate Davis
KANNAPOLIS -- Nellie Pate Davis, 85,died Monday (Dec. 22, 2003) at Transitional Health Services.
Born June 2, 1918, in Marlboro County, S.C., Mrs. Davis was a daughter of the late Fred and Kate Cameron Pate. She retired in 1980 from Cannon Mills Plant 1 sheet department after 40 years.
A member of Centerview Baptist Church, she taught Sunday school in the junior department.
Her husband, James Fletcher Davis, died Aug. 2, 1998.
Survivors include a son; 2 daughters;2 brothers; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services: 7:30 tonight, Whitley's Funeral Home chapel, conducted by the Rev.Willie Rash. Burial,Carolina Memorial Park.
Visitation: 6-7:30 tonight at the funeral home.
Memorials: Centerview Baptist Church, 415 Walter St., Kannapolis, NC 28083.
