Henry M. Jones, age 91, was the son of the Civil War Hero Thomas Berry Jones and his wife Emily Sophronia Roberts (Jones). When Henry Marcellus Jones was born on October 18, 1860, in Friendship, Georgia, his father, Thomas, was 34 and his mother, Emily, was 27. He married Lucy Americus Martin (Jones) on January 10, 1878. They had nine children in 15 years. He died on February 4, 1952, in Hall, Georgia, at the age of 91.

He married Lucy Americus Martin in 1879 when he was 20 years old. To this union, they had nine children: Glen, Lucille, Sandi, Sarah A., Dora A., Minnie Jones (Overby), Hoke Henry, Julia Elizabeth, and William Lovic (Tovie) Jones.

His last known address on the 1940 Census was Gainesville, Hall County, Georgia and by then, he was listed as a widow.

Currently, his burial is unknown until further research reveals additional information.
