Bernice R. (Dominick) Batista 80 of Ludlow died Sunday morning May 5, 2013 surrounded by her loving family at Life Care Center. Born in Springfield, MA April 6, 1933 daughter of the late Leo and Rose (Caski) Dominick. Educated in local schools, she was employed by Alamac Knitting Mills with many years of service. She was a Communicant of the Catholic Community of St. Elizabeth, and was a former member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church.She was also a member of the Gremio Lusitanio Club. Bernice loved Bingo and the Casinos, and truly cherished the Saturday night card games with her brothers and sisters. She was the loving widow of Albino Batista, together they shared 50 years of married life. She is survived by her brothers Leo Dominique andnhis friend Ann, Francis Dominique and his wife Alice, sisters Geraldine Ayers and Diane Pease and her husband Bob all of Ludlow. Cherished aunt of several nieces and nephews,and blessed with many Godchildren. Bernice is also survived by extended family members and friends.
