Walter Comer, 78, Coeburn, died Sunday in a Norton hospital.
He was a native of Grayson, N.C., and a retired miner.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Rumley Comer; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Roupe, Ocala, Fla., and Mrs. Flossie Mutter, Coeburn; two half-brothers, Marvin Comer, Clintwood, and James Comer, Richmond; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday in the Estes Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Frank Baumann officiating. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery.
