Christine Loyola Baca, 60, of Clovis died Monday, July 11, 2005, at her home.
She was born on June 3, 1945, in Santa Rosa, to Sotero and Louisa Valencia Chavez.
She married Leonard Baca on Dec. 16, 1977, in Clovis. She was a homemaker, and family members said she loved crafting and caring for her children. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Jake Chavez (and wife, Bernadette) of Clovis; three daughters, Gina Connally (Eric) of Clovis, Becky Chavez (Manuel) of Clovis, and Yolanda Chavez of Clovis; a grandson, Zachary Connally of Clovis; five brothers, Mike, Ricky, Sotero, Junior, Horacio, and Tony Chavez all of Clovis; six sisters, Dora Baca, Gloria Chavez, Rosa Chavez, Eleana Zamora, all of Clovis, Carmen Cassidy of St. Louis, Mo., and Priscilla Maldonado of Grand Prairie, Texas.
Father Sotero Sena will officiate the service.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. today at The Chapel, 1500 Thornton.
Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories.
Pallbearers are Mike Chavez, Ricky Chavez, Sotero Chavez Jr., Eric Connally, Manuel Sandoval, and Horacio Chavez.
Honorary pallbearers are Armando Maldonado, Zachary Connally, Regina Culberth, Debra Vistine and all Hospice Nurses.
The family will be gathering at 1016 Locust in Clovis.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home in Clovis.
