Daughter of Lena Bertha Horn Harrell and John Floyd Harrell. She married Wayne Elmer Robinson on 18 May 1942 in the pastor's study of First Orthodox Baptist Church in Ardmore; they had two children. They lived in Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, and California before moving back to Oklahoma to be with aging parents. She did bookkeeping from the home so she could be home when the kids got home from school. She was a Christian who always made sure that her children got to church even if she couldn't.
