The funeral for Henry Ernest Angerhofer, 90, of 724 Fifth Ave. S.W., will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Highland Township. Lay Pastor Monty Dell will officiate.

Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Miller-Huebl Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. The family is requested to meet at the church at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

He died Saturday, June 18, 1988, at St. Luke's Midland Regional Medical Center.

Henry Ernest Angerhofer was born Dec. 8, 1897, at Highland Township in Brown County to Rudolph and Anna (Parsch) Angerhofer. He attended rural school and farmed all of his life. He served as Brown County treasurer in the mid-1950s and later served as register of deeds. He was road boss and supervisor in Highland Township for a number of years.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and held various offices in the church. He was the organizer of St. John's Walther League and the first manager of the league's baseball team. He was the secretary of Aid Association for Lutherans Insurance and was a federal crop adjuster.

Survivors include two sisters, Olga Brick and Eleanor Bruse of Aberdeen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.

Casketbearers will be Harold Shilman of Warner, Reuben Angerhofer, Luverne Brick and Lloyd Brick of Aberdeen, William Kruse of Groton and Dwaine Shilman of Bismark, N.D.

Organist will be Lois Ristau and soloist will be LaDonna Dell. Ushers will be Harry Bettmann and R.J. Ristau.
