Actor, Comedian. He appeared in motion pictures, radio and on television, and was characterized by his cheerful, sing-song speaking voice and his Perfect Fool comedy character. He is best known for his appearances in films as: "Alice in Wonderland" (1951), "The Absent-Minded Professor" (1961), "Babes in Toyland" (1961), "Mary Poppins" (1964) and "The Gnome-Mobile" (1967). For his performance in "The Diary of Anne Frank" (1959), he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He has three stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, one for motion pictures: located at 1541 Vine St., one for television: located at 6426 Hollywood Blvd. and one for radio: located at 6333 Hollywood Blvd. In 2013, he was posthumously awarded the Disney Legends award. He was the father of actor Keenan Wynn, and grandfather of actors Ned Wynn and Tracy Keenan Wynn.
