Rosalie S Ross, 86, a resident of St John's Nursing Home in Hays since November, d July 10, 2001, at the nursing home.

She was born Aug , 1914 in Ellis to Ignatius and Frances (Eichner) Lang. She was a graduate of Ellis High School.

She married Albert J Ross on May 18, 1938, in Hays. He died Aug 10, 1977. She worked at Neuberger Bakery, was a waitress, cook and manager of the Brunswick Café and was a former school custodian. She was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church in Hays.

Survivors include two daughters, Sheila Boos, Hays, and Mary Herbst, Bogue; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, A J and Joseph; six brothers; and two sisters.

Services were July 13 at St Joseph Catholic Church, Hays, with Father Don Zimmerman officiating; burial in St Joseph Cemetery, Hays.

Brocks North Hill Chapel, Hays, was in charge of arrangements.
