BERTHA DENNISTON McGraw, widow of Aaron K. McGraw Sr., died at her home, 50 Broadway, Tuesday afternoon after a long illness, aged 69 years.


Born and raised in Pittsburgh, she moved to Hagerstown 46 years ago. She was the daughter of Major Joseph and Nannie Boullt Denniston, and granddaughter of Thomas A. Boullt of Hagerstown.


She was a member of the Calvary Episcopal Church, Pittsburgh.


Surviving are sons, Colonel James F., Fort Ethan Allan, Vt.; and A. Kretzer Jr., Hagerstown; daughters, Miss Kathryne N. McGraw, Hagerstown; and Mrs. Thomas O. Murray, Honolulu, Hawaii; sister, Mrs. Homer L. Miller, Hagerstown; 5 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.


Funeral services Thursday at 2:30 pm at Minnich Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Wilson P. Ard officiating, assisted by Rev. Dr. Frederick D. Eyster. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
