Clara Mae Oller Compton, 87, of Shelbyville died at 4:15 p.m. Friday, February 1, 1991, in Shelby Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were conducted Monday morning in Shelbyville Church of the Nazarene by Rev. Tom Compton and Rev. Larry Sneed. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery. Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville was in charge of funeral arrangements.
Memorials may be given to the International Gideon's Bible Society or the Shelbyville Church of the Nazarene.
Mrs. Compton was born on October 7, 1903, in Shelby County, the daughter of William and Jennie Middleton Oller. She was a member of the Shelbyville Church of the Nazarene and the Women Christian Temperance Union.
She married Clyde Compton on February 26, 1925 in Shelbyville. He died November 27, 1975.
