John Goodman, 60, a lifelong resident of Port Richmond and a retired correction officer, died Saturday at home.
He graduated from Port Richmond High School.
Mr. Goodman retired from correction work about four years ago.
He was an avid hunter and spent much time in upstate Barryville.
Mr. Goodman was also a motorcycle enthuasist.
"He was a beloved dad and will always be in our hearts," said his children Jen, Thomas, and John Goodman.
Also surviving is his former wife, Susan Caravaglio.
There will be a private funeral service on Friday in the Meislohn-Silvie Funeral Home, Port Richmond.
