Carolyn Sue Atkinson, 68, of Peru, IN passed away at 6:50 P.M., Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Dukes Memorial Hospital, Peru. She was born in Wabash, IN on September 14, 1944 the daughter of Raymond and Betty Moore Finnegan. Carolyn married Billy W. Atkinson in Peru, IN on December 22, 1973 and he survives.

Carolyn was a 1963 graduate of Northfield High School and a homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Carolyn loved working in her gardens and building rock walls around her gardens. She was an avid painter and enjoyed drawing and sketching.

Surviving in addition to her husband Billy, is her son, David and his wife Rosanna of Peru, grandchildren Alyssa Atkinson, Victoria Atkinson and Joey Atkinson and brothers Larry Finnegan of Indianapolis, IN, Samuel Finnegan of Peru and Thomas Finnegan of Wabash. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother David Finnegan.

A service celebrating the life of Carolyn Atkinson will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main Street, Peru with Pastor Phil Bunce officiating. Burial will be in Ever Rest Memorial Park, Cass County, IN. Family and friends will gather from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
