Benny passed away after fighting a long courageous battle with brain cancer.

He was born in Gaston County, son of Odis Biddix of Bessemer City and the late Nadine Peck Biddix.

Benny was a gentle giant; he was sweet, funny, calm, friendly, caring and intelligent. He lived a life of courage, fortitude and fullness, even though being short changed in health and longevity. In his transformation from this life to the life beyond, he left a void in a close family cicle of love. Benny was a graduate of Winthrop College with a B.S. Degree in Business. He was a member of First UMC, Belmont and a long time member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Benny worked for Duke Energy for over 30 years enjoying all positions he held there. His most recent position was Director of Portfolio Management in Real Estate Services.


He is survived by: his wife, Jane Hines Biddix and sons, Ben, Lee and John Biddix all of Belmont; brother and sister in-law, Steve and Lisa Biddix of Gastonia; sisters and brother in-law, Tammie Biddix of Belmont, Tena and Rev. Tommy Buchanan of Kings Mountain.

Memorial Service:First United Methodist Church, Belmont, officiated by Dr. Chuck Baker and Rev. Tommy Buchanan.
