She moved to Honolulu, Hawaii in 1949 where she graduated from the University of Hawaii. She worked as a medical tech in Hawaii and several overseas countries for the Dr. Tom Dooley foundation.
She retired and moved to Riddle, Oregon in 1992. She was an active volunteer in many community activities. She is survived by her sister Patricia Paakaula; brother James McCue; six nieces, six nephews and their many children and grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Riddle Community Center on Friday, August 31 at 2 p.m.

Carolyne was reported missing after the family had no contact for several days. Her body was found at the bottom of a cistern on her Riddle property. The sheet of plywood covering the cistern had collapsed under her. She drowned in the cistern.
She was in the process of moving back to Oahu. Carolyne never married.
