Dr. William Gerald Altis, D.C.
July 21, 1940 – June 8, 2013
Dr. Bill Altis, passed away at his home in Phelan, California, on Saturday, June 8, 2013.
Bill was born in Grand Coulee, Washington, to William Hicks and Marjorie Ells. He was later adopted by Audra Skelt (Doc) Altis, of Cabool, Missouri.
Bill lived a rich life of service through his private Chiropractor practice for over 40 years. He was also a Lions Club member for many years.
Bill is survived by his wife Betty Altis, of Phelan, Calif. He is also survived by his children, Christopher Altis, of Hoquiam, Wash., Christine Schwendenman, of West Covina, Calif., Debbie Rouse, of Reno, Nev., Susan Altis Brown Henson, of Mesa, Ariz., Dennis Altis, of Phelan, Calif., Jim Altis, of Phelan, Calif.; 9 grandsons and 3 granddaughters; 5 great-grandchildren and more great-grandbabies on the way.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dianne Johnson Altis in 1963.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2013, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Phelan, Calif.
