SHELBY, Mr. Jeffery "Jody" Bridges, 35, of 904 Logan St., Shelby, departed this life on Monday, July 30, 2007, at Carolina's Medical Center in Charlotte.
He was born Dec. 27, 1971, to Ronald R. and Mildred Nichols Bridges in Lincoln County. Jeffery attended Bethlehem Temple Church in Grover, where he was an ordained minister and served as choir director and on the program committee.
Jeffery was a multitalented person and was an exceptional singer. He enjoyed working with youth and was a father figure to not only his own children but to many others. He will also be remembered for being a very giving person who was willing to help others.
