BLAIR, Mrs. Jessie Ruth Brantley, was born on September 24, 1933 and departed this life on Wednesday, February 13, 2008.
She leaves to cherish her memory six daughters, Evelyn Mahone, Marilyn Blair, Jerrica (Darnez) Jones, Trena (Sedrick) Blair-Edwards, and LaVonda (James) Hairston all of Montgomery, AL; Shirley Blair of Detroit, MI; five sons, Tommy (Mildred) Blair, Clemmie (Alice) Blair, and Darryl (Jeanette) Blair all of Montgomery, AL; James (Theresa) Blair and Kenneth (Sharon) Blair of Troy, AL; nineteen grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Brantley and step-brother, Bolden Teague, Jr., both of Detroit, MI; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wed., Feb. 20, 2008 at 12:00 Noon from New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor Willie G. Broadnax officiating. Interment will follow in Helicon Baptist Churchyard Cemetery with Phillips-Riley Funeral Home directing.
