He attended the Williams School and St Mary's School in Augusta, ME and graduated from Cony High School in Augusta, ME in 1940.
Air Force Veteran of World War II from 1942-45 in the North Appenines, Po Valley, and was in air combat in the Balkans. He won the EAMET Campaign Ribbon with three Bronze Stars.
He worked for Maine Central Railroad for 40 years retiring as general agent in 1982.
Survived by his wife Mary Frances; a daughter, Sister Anne-Marie Bourque of Portland, ME; and two brothers, Louis F. Bourque and George L. Bourque, both of Augusta, ME.
