Annie Claire Pearson was daughter of Dexter Pearson and Betty Lloyd Pearson. She married
Henry Crosby Mayfield on 3 June 1949 at Ellisville, Jones County, MS.
They were the parents of 9 children.

DEATHS
Mrs. Annie Claire Mayfield
Mrs. Annie C. Mayfield, 78, resident of No. 2 Marion Drive,
died Monday at 11 am in a local hospital. She was a long time resident of Laurel and the widow of Henry C. Mayfield, who died Oct. 25, 1949. Mrs. Mayfield was born in Scott County. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Laurel.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, 3 pm from the First Baptist Church. Conducting the rites were the Rev. T. R.
McCubbins, the Rev. Risher W. Brown (?) and the Rev.
Marion Wilson (?).
Burial was in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. C. B. Bynum and Mrs. Myra Craft, Laurel; Mrs. Bryant Payson and Dr. Frances Mayfield, both of New Orleans; four sons, H. L. Mayfield,
G. U. Mayfield and Robert C. Mayfield, all of Laurel and
H. Rivers Mayfield of Buffalo, N. Y.; 22 grandchildren,
27 great grandchildren, and one brother, N. C. Pearson,
Laurel.
Thompson Funeral Home is in charge.
