Sharon, of Battle Creek, formerly of Charlotte died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at her residence. Sharon was the daughter of Clifford and Betty (Cribley) Woodman and had lived most of her life in the area except for a few years in Bradenton, Florida.

She had attended schools in Charlotte and then graduated in 1970 from Manatee High School in Bradenton, FL. She was currently an employee of Eaton Farm Bureau Co-Op in Charlotte with 20 years of service.

She loved Bingo, Gardening, her cats and working on her house.

Surviving are: daughter, Jenny (Guy Morton) Adkins and son, Jason (April Gillum) Adkins both of Battle Creek; 4 grandchildren, Kelsea Newberry, Shelby Newberry, Lacey Newberry and Hayley Adkins; her mother, Betty Woodman Adkins; Siblings, Sue (Vern) Brandon, Sally (Arvid) Curry, Ed (Louann) Woodman, Sandi (Buddy) Day, Kathy (Richard) Summers and Rich Woodman; her former husband, Jimmie Adkins and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Elaine Woodman.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Rev. Charles Jenson officiating.

Memorial contributions may go to the Calhoun County Humane Society or to Eaton Community Palliative Care.
