Corporal Josiah Peck was the son of NATHAN & TABITHA (BEERS) PECK and grandson of SAMUEL & MARTHA (CLARK) PECK of Milford and JOSIAH & ELIZABETH (UFFOOT) BEERS of Stratford. He married HELEN BIRDSEYE on November 9, 1774. She is buried at his side in the Union Cemetery.
The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Volume 10, page 334: Josiah Peck, 1776, entered the army as a private and served several enlistments during the war. He was corporal at the New Haven Alarm and his brother Nathan served as fifer. He died at Stratford in 1821, where he was born in 1751.
