She is survived by two brothers, Al (Jackie) and Luther (Martha); many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Covell Funeral Home.
Grace G. "Joy" Leverett, missionary and Global Ministry Center employee, passed away on June 3. She was 65.
Leverett had a long history with the Church of the Nazarene. She served as office manager and secretary to the rector of European Nazarene College from 1978 to 1987. For 13 years, she served in South Africa as assistant to the first regional director, Richard Zanner.
In 2001, she joined the staff at Mount Vernon Nazarene College (now University) as executive secretary to the president, E. Lebron Fairbanks. After six years at MVNC, she moved to the Church of the Nazarene's International Headquarters/Global Ministry Center, serving in the Global Mission office as administrative assistant. One year later, she transferred to the denomination's International Board of Education office.

Joy grew up in Columbus, Ga, and attended Jordan Vocational High School. She was a beloved member of the Columbus First Church of the Nazarene. (added by Roy Keck)

It's with sadness that I report that Joy Leverett, JVHS 1965, passed away. She had worked for the Nazarene Bible Colleges across the world. She asked that some of her ashes be sprinkled in Africa where she worked for many years.Judy Thomas, Columbus
