Catherine Teasdale Abplanalp, age 85, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007. She was born on July 29, 1921, in Shullsburg, to Burdette "Pete" and Mary "Mae" (Doran) Teasdale.

Catherine attended Willow Dale Grade School, graduated from Darling High School in 1939 and from Platteville State Teachers College in 1943. She married Alex Abplanalp on Feb. 7, 1948 in Darlington. Catherine was a teacher at Evansville, West Bend, Monroe and Frank Allis Elementary School, Madison. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and state, local and national teachers organizations.

Catherine is survived by her children, A. J. Abplanalp of Clear Lake, Iowa, Susan Abplanalp of Franklin and Andrew (Sue) Abplanalp of Cottage Grove; grandchildren, Brad, Aaron, Nick and Lauren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex; her parents; sister, Marian; and brothers, George and Foster "Jiggs".

Catherine will be missed at the Meriter Heights, as she spent many hours helping others, which also gave her great comfort.

Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park
