Gayle Allen, 74, of 627 Oregon Way, Longview, died Sept. 6, 1989, in an Everett hospital. She was born March 30, 1915, in Stanmore, Alberta, Canada, and moved to the local area in 1937. Mrs. Allen graduated from high school at Independence, Ore. She was a homemaker and very committed to her family. She attended Calvary Community Church. Her husband, Floyd H. Allen, survives her at home. Also surviving are two daughters, Diane Jones of Kalama and Susan Jones of Longview; a sister, Violet Kauzlarich of Renton, Wash.; four brothers, Eddie Kosanke of Albany, Ore., Sharpe Kosanke of Salem, Roy Kosanke of Vancouver and Donald Kosanke of Dallas, Ore.; and three grandsons. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Steele Chapel. Private interment will take place at Longview Memorial Park. Friends may pay their respects at the chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
