On January 28, 1999, 11year old Shameka was reported missing by her family. The next day children in a school bus passing along Judge Brown Road in Chambers County noticed something unusual lying in the ditch. They reported it to the bus driver who decided to stop and investigate. It was the body of Shameka. She had been taken from her home and had died as a result of a blunt force trauma to the head. To date no one has stepped forward to claim the reward that was offered, and no one has ever been charged with this terrible tragedy.
